South American porn laws are different from country to country, with a heavy emphasis on the main religion. Every place is different, though and you need to know your stuff.

Getting to grips with South American porn laws will give you the information you need to not get arrested for bashing one out to some hot MILFs. What other misdemeanors you get lifted for in the continent of coke isn’t our business.

Can I watch porn in Argentina?

According to the penal code in Argentina, porn isn’t illegal in itself. However, it’s definitely is illegal to show porn to anyone who doesn’t want to see it.

Specifically, “Anyone who executes or causes to execute obscene exhibitions exposed to being seen involuntarily by third parties” (from Google Translate) can get whacked with a hefty fine.

Hefty in Argentina at least. The fine is anywhere from ARS1,000 to 15,000 or about US$10-1,500.

Them’s the rules, but that doesn’t stop there being a reasonably-sized porn industry in Argentina with famous models and directors working opening in the city.

What are the porn laws in Brazil?

In Brazil, porn is legal, as long as there are no animals involved. Freedom of expression is guaranteed under the 1985 constitution, including fucking on film.

In fact, the porn industry in Brazil is thriving, with Sao Paolo at the center of a busy industry. One of the biggest drivers of the amateur porn industry is the camming site, Prive.

There are some up-and-coming porn stars coming out of Brazil, with Cherry Adams, she of the mermaid hair, being one of them.

What’s the deal with porn in Chile?

Porn was illegal in Chile from 1974, when the government changed – not something we’re getting into here.

There was still lots of underground porn in Chile, you can’t keep a good industry down. It was in 2000 that porn became legal to produce again, as the cinema censors liberalized their meaning of porn to basically mean no animals or children.

The local industry is still small in Chile and most porn stars who want to make it big head to other countries.

How about the porn laws in Peru?

Porn is legal to access in Peru. In one of the more interesting South American porn laws, since 2019 internet service providers (ISPs) have been obliged to offer porn filtering to new subscribers.

There had been previous attempts to block porn in the guise of protecting children back in 2013. That wasn’t successful, leading to the aforementioned “sir, would you like to block porn?” situation.

The porn industry in Peru isn’t well-known. There are some amateurs having a crack at it, but it’s not a huge industry like in Brazil, for instance.

Am I allowed to watch porn in Colombia?

The first porn cinema in Colombia. Porn became easily accessible after 1960 in Colombia. The country experienced the sexual revolution like much of the world – the same sexual revolution that saw women being taught how to cum in New York classrooms with Hitachi vibrators.

It wasn’t until 2006 that the first 24-hour adult channel, Kamasutra, debuted on screens.

What’s the law on porn in Ecuador?

The Ecuadorean porn industry is alive, but not so well, it seems. Porn is legal in Ecuador and there have been a few attempts at creating an industry.

Starting in 2018, a famous Spanish porn director made multiple trips to the country. He was searching for men to star in his up-and-coming movie. After three castings, he couldn’t find a dick right for the job, it seems.

What’s the deal with porn in Bolivia?

Bolivia seems to be rather barren when it comes to porn. There’s nothing in the penal code that outlaws porn or obscenity, as long as no one is being forced into anything.

Usually, a lack of ban means a budding if not bulging porn industry. It seems not so in the mountainous, landlocked country. Alas, if you want Bolivian porn, you’re probably buying the amateur stuff.

Guyana: What are the porn laws?

Guyana, the only South American country to be mainly English speaking has porn laws but they’re kind of vague in their application.

Technically, porn is outlawed under Section 351 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act. Thing is, it seems to be rarely enforced and the Guyana Crime Chief in 2018 said that consensual production of porn is illegal and they’d only use the laws to prosecute for revenge porn.

You might find some Guyanese porn stars, but there isn’t a big industry there and they tend to leave to make porn in other countries.

What do we know about porn laws in Uruguay?

In Uruguay, there is a law on the books that bans porn. Article 278 of the Criminal Code says it’s illegal to:

“publicly offer obscene theater or cinematographic shows, who transmit auditions or make publications of the same nature”

That doesn’t seem to put off Uruguayans from getting into the skin game. The well-known Latino porn star Marco Banderas hails from Uruguay. There’s even a Uruguayan porn TV network that distributes to other places with easy South American porn laws.

Is porn accessible in Suriname?

Confirming the porn laws in Suriname is a challenge. This generally means porn is legal if we can’t find anything that says otherwise.

It’s not hugely surprising, since Suriname is a former Dutch colony. The Dutch are liberal about all things sex so that porn is accessible stands to reason.

This is backed up by the fact that three of the top ten most-searched websites in Suriname are porn sites. Folks would be using a VPN to mask their country of origin, otherwise.

Does Paraguay have porn laws?

With all the Google-fu in the world, finding laws about Paraguayan porn isn’t possible. That probably means that there isn’t a specific law about it, but we can never be too sure, y’know?

There are Paraguayans who are out there making bank in the porn industry. In the country, you won’t find any major porno production houses, it’s mainly hot amateurs working on platforms like SinParty.
